Upgrade your showroom to increase business
With online sales playing an increasing role in auto-buying decisions, differentiating your customers’ on-site experience is more important now than ever before. Many buyers begin their car-buying journey online but still crave the touch-and-feel experience a dealership can offer.
In addition to implementing auto manufacturers' reimaging programs, there are some simple tips you can consider to create a showroom atmosphere that will increase sales.
First impressions count. Whether buyers identify that you have the vehicle they seek online or on your lot, once they enter your showroom you have only a few feet to exude the professionalism, quality and ambiance you desire. Studies show that clients’ first impression is made within the first 15 feet after they enter your doors.
Extend each visit. Research on consumer behavior shows that a vast majority of customers travel counter-clockwise around a space. Consider this important information as you design a natural path through your dealership. Use displays, signage, interactive stations, merchandise, etc. to route clients through your dealership…at a leisurely pace.
Keep it fresh and current. Experts suggest a light refresh in retail space every three years, as design trends change and fixtures wear and break. A full remodel is recommended every five to seven years. As technology becomes more important to your business, you may find that rollouts of interactive kiosks and displays are required more often.
