We are excited to have begun work on the renovation of Waukesha County Technical College’s Culinary Classroom! The new 2800 square foot kitchen will boast multiple student-group cooking stations for hands-on learning, along with an instructor station. All stations will be equipped with the latest in kitchen technology, including flat grills, open-flame burners and convection ovens.
PSI’s Scott Erlandson, project manager, said, “This instructional kitchen renovation was a natural fit for us, because of our deep experience in the restaurant industry. It is exciting to do our part to contribute to the future of the industry.” Jeff Tyvoll will serve as the project’s on-site superintendent for PSI, and Zimmerman Architect Studios, Inc. is responsible for the design.
Demolition of the existing classroom began April 29, 2019, and the project will be completed in August, 2019, before WCTC students return for the fall semester.
