AUGUST 19, 2019 — Students of Waukesha County Technical College’s Culinary Program will be treated to a fully renovated Culinary Classroom when they begin class this week. Peter Schwabe, Inc. was proud to be selected to serve as general contractor for this exciting project. The new 2800 square foot kitchen learning environment features multiple student-group cooking stations for hands-on learning, along with an instructor station. All stations are equipped with the latest in kitchen technology, including flat grills, open-flame burners and convection ovens.
“Our experience and connections in the restaurant industry helped us complete this project under a tight timeline, to ensure it was underway during summer when the students were on break,” said PSI’s Scott Erlandson, project manager. “There was no interruption to their classroom learning experience; the classroom will be fully functional on their first day of class this week.” Jeff Tyvoll served as the project’s on-site superintendent for PSI, and Zimmerman Architect Studios, Inc. is responsible for the design.
